Rain Is In The Air
It's a nice light rain oustside isn't it? A tree in my backyard was struck by lightning. A large upper portion of the tree is now resting on the ground. Branches are bent and the trunk is split. The wood is now a lighter brown and the leaves have lost some green. Flowers have been crushed and nests now lie upon the grass.
Now, there is a light rain, a gentle rain, a rain that can do nothing else but give strength to the plants. Birds return to the tree to feed on seeds and rebuild lost homes, squirrels continue to climb, and the bugs remain a nuisance. The clouds will part and the sun will shine again.
With life comes pain, and for every cloud of pain there is a drop of hope.

A lovely day today; just got back from a walk around the nearby lake, and the first drops fell as I was returning home.
